No. An imprint requires a real, legally valid address. It must be a physical location with usable space where mail can be received during standard business hours. A simple P.O. box or an anonymous forwarding address without actual premises does not meet the legal requirements.

Depending on the type of offer, an imprint must at least include a name or company name, a legally valid address, a quick way to contact you such as an email address, and, if applicable, other mandatory information such as commercial register details, VAT identification number or supervisory authority. Our service only replaces the public address, not the other required information.

Typical users include sole traders, freelancers, small businesses, content creators, bloggers, operators of websites and online shops, authors, and individuals with social media profiles who do not wish to publish their private address.

The service is under no circumstances suitable if you wish to register a place of residence or if a physical presence is required as a residential address. Our business address may also not be used for certain official procedures such as vehicle registration or police registration of a residential address.

The Starter and Pro packages cannot be used as an official registered office, but with the Expert package, you can use the address as your registered office. In the Expert package, you receive a fully legally valid business address with a confirmation of use and a nameplate, which is explicitly intended for business registration, the commercial register and approval by the Chamber of Commerce (IHK).

Authorities generally accept our address as a business address, provided all legal requirements are met. The address serves as your official location for postal accessibility. However, it may not be stated as the place of management or as a permanent establishment if your business activities actually take place elsewhere. In the tax registration questionnaire, you must therefore state the actual place of management. This information is intended exclusively for the tax office. This allows you to have a representative business address in the city center without the obligations of an expensive, fixed-term office lease. At the same time, your private address remains protected and does not appear in public registers.

Your private address is protected from the public, but you are fully identified to us as your service provider. We must have your details to correctly assign mail and to comply with legal requirements regarding anti-money laundering and identity verification. Authorities and courts can still summon you and identify you via a court order. Therefore, anonymity in the legal sense does not exist.

The contract term can be set to monthly, with the option to cancel at the end of each month. Alternatively, you can choose an annual term. In this case, you can cancel up to one month before the renewal date.

No. With the Expert package, you can officially register your company with the commercial register and trade office using our address. This protects your privacy. However, in the tax registration questionnaire, you must definitely provide your actual place of management or business premises if you do not work on-site with us. This part is only visible to the tax office, but it must be answered truthfully so that trade tax can be calculated correctly. Providing false information about your actual place of work to the tax office constitutes tax evasion and is a criminal offense.
